STRAIGHT EDGES and PARALLELS

LAN-FLAT straight edges are made with the finest black granite to provide the best precision, thermal estability and wear resistance.

With the highest grade on flatness and parallelism, the straight edges are provided with their corresponding Calibration Certificate perfectly traceable and valid on quality audits.

Straight Edges are usually made with one of its face finished in flatness and straightness. It is possible to provide a pair of parallee straight edges completly parallel one each other.

• Properties

  LAN-FLAT provides high accuracy metrology devices in various granite types, depending on the needs and specifications of our clients. All of the granite we use has been carefully measured to establish the modulus of elasticity, allowing us to comply and exceed standard specifications and user requirements. Tests made in referent laboratories have shown that black grain granite are harder, more dense and less absorbent than other granite types. Due to these reasons, all LAN-FLAT products, surface plates, machine bases, squares, straight edges, etc.. are made in black granite of highest quality, homogeneity and stability

  

  For the largest surface plates LAN-FLAT is offering also other graite qualities (e.g. "Gris Quintana") of similar characteristics and performance.

  Black granite of the highest quality, hardness and wear resistance.

  Black granite is extracted, in a big percentage, from quarries located in South-Africa. Once the blocks are cut, they are shipped worldwide. LAN-FLAT imports black granite from Suth-Africa through the biggest Spanish granite trading company.
